A Free Mouse-- is actually the email address of a guy I met on my first day in Guatemala. I have never emailed him and I can't even remember his name. But that's exactly how I feel these days--like a free mouse...just a little guy scurrying around, a little confused, but generally pretty damn happy. So maybe I'm a copy cat. But maybe I'm just another free mouse.

Another undeserved holiday...
...to Honduras with my friend Kevin, another volunteer from Australia. Stopped off for some stunning Mayan ruins in Copan. And then headed to the super tranquilo Bay Islands for four nights. Drifted from hammock to beach to crystal clear water to cool off. Ate lobster tails, crab claws, whole fish and seafood pizza... yeah, life on the road is pretty rough...

SBO6!
That's right--I got to go on a true blue spring break with my dear sister, Madeline, who flew all the way from Georgia to Guatemala only to find out I was whisking her off to Belize.
But not before a stop at Tikal, a Mayan Ruin site. Leave it the Mayan staggering temples to make you feel tiny...in space and time...(and wear you out after a 4 a.m. wake up call).
After a whole day and half of ruin exploring and temple climbing, it was three days of Carribean water and sea breezes. Good coffee, great seafood and the BEST company--I do love spring break....
